Most of our student clubs have come to an end for the year. With the weather warming, it’s time for the students to be outside, running around and enjoying the fresh air! Thank you to all the teachers who shared their talents and devoted many hours to offer clubs throughout the year.

Two clubs have been initiated and led by students, namely the Gr 5, 6 Meditation Club as well as the Sign Language Club. Thank you to our enthusiastic students willing to share their passions and expertise with their peers!

Polar Bear Club

Winter is here! We are ever mindful of the children’s need to be outside for fresh air and free play. We will be running a Polar Bear Club this year through the inclement weather.

If you give your permission, your child will be given the choice to go outside with a teacher or lunchroom supervisor during what would normally be an “indoor” recess. We call indoor recesses when the temperature is -20 degrees Celsius or lower. The length of time we are outside will depend on the weather.

Students would be expected to come dressed for the cold, wearing snowpants, boots, hats, mitts and a scarf.

Please email: seketcheson@cbe.ab.ca, subject line: Polar Bear Club if you would like your child to have the option of participating. In the email, please indicate your child’s first and last name along with their teachers name.
