Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to Catherine Nichols Gunn School. For those who are new, we are excited to have you join our school family and for those returning, welcome back. We are looking forward to a great start to our new school year and working with parents to have a happy and successful year. We are happy to welcome three new teachers and are excited to have them join us at C. N. Gunn. We want to remind parents that you are your child’s first and most important teacher and the interactions you have from reading together to enjoying a good conversation or activity are significant in helping your child succeed. Our first day of school is August 16th at 8:30am. Please look for your grade number outside at the doors. Meet the Teacher evenings will be on August 22nd and 23rd. Please come and share information to support your child’s needs to be successful at school.

We will be holding annual Welcome Back BBQ on Thursday, August 30th from 6-8pm. This is an opportunity for you to meet the staff, community agencies that work with our school and other families in our school community. All are welcome and there is no cost to attend.

Please look for our new logo and moto as the year begins. “Be Kind. Be Brave. Be Strong.” On behalf of Catherine Nichols Gunn staff welcome back to school.

Sincerely,

Steve Wigglesworth

Principal

RT @mustardseedyyc: Today @CrescentCowboys student Alex and his friends came by The Mustard Seed with bags full of @McDonaldsCanada sandwiches to hand out to those experiencing homelessness! Why did he do this? Because it's his birthday and he wanted to give back. Thank you Alex! @Crackmacs https://t.co/rWYZq2qKyW
