“Aaah, summer - that long anticipated stretch of lazy, lingering days, free of responsibility and rife with possibility. It's a time to hunt for insects, master handstands, practice swimming strokes, conquer trees, explore nooks and crannies, and make new friends.” -Darell Hammond

On behalf of the staff at Chaparral, I extend the very best of wishes to our families for a safe and healthy summer break.  We are looking forward to reconnecting in September and meeting lots of new friends!

I would also like to express my thanks to the amazing teaching and support staff at Chaparral, our School Council and Association members, our students, and the Chaparral Community Association. We have had a wonderful year, growing and learning together.  I hope you enjoy this last newsletter for 2017-18.  I believe it truly is about the “we” working together as one…

RT @UsihChristopher: Dr. Zahi Shlah, my new dentist, is a CBE alumnus. Always a pleasure to connect with #WeAreCBE alumni and showcase positive role models! ⁦@yyCBEdu

RT @cityofcalgary: School/playground zone safety is everyone's responsibility. A friendly reminder that the maximum speed in playground zones is 30 km/h and is in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., 7 days a week, year round.

RT @YourAlberta: As the school year winds down, hats off to all our students for a successful year and congratulations to Alberta's class of 2019! 🎓 🎉 #abed
