Dear Parents and Guardians,

Here are your updates for the weeks of April 8 – April 12:

COBS Bread Country Hills annual Hot Cross Bun Dough Raiser ends this Monday, April 8th, 2019!

o   Order Online! https://www.cobsbread.com/campaigns/hot-cross-bun-doughraiser/

o   For every 6-pack of fresh baked, mouth-watering Hot Cross Buns ordered, $2 will be donated to Coventry Hills School. Hot Cross Buns will be baked fresh on April 18, 2019, and dropped off to Coventry Hills School on the same day. Purchased buns must be picked up on April 18 between 3:30-5:30pm. If you would like us to send them home with your child, please email Monica Sandercott at chefsfunds@gmail.com.

§  These delicious Easter treats come in 4 varieties:

·       Traditional Fruit: filled with raisins, currants, and mixed spice

·       Apple Cinnamon: a delicious blend of red apples and cinnamon

·       Chocolate Chip: with over 100 chocolate chips in each bun

Coventry Hills School is celebrating Literacy Month from Monday, April 8th to Wednesday, May 8th.  This year our focus will be on Poetry.  Students will be provided with a variety of opportunities in class to explore different forms of poetry, imagery and expression. Other Literacy events include a Scavenger Hunt, Book Tasting in the Learning Commons, Love of Reading Teacher Swap and a Weekly Book Draw! 

 

Our Kindergartens are excited to begin their artist and residency program with Sharon Fortowsky. Students will be involved in using mix media (watercolour paper, acrylic paint, acrylic gel, organic material (rocks and mulch) to explore & create artwork representing ladybugs coming out of hibernation in the Spring!

On Friday April 12, AM Kindergarten attends school.

Coventry Cares club is organizing a Jersey day on Friday, April 12th. Wearing a jersey is optional, however, students who want to wear one may choose their own sports team or one they love to cheer for!
