CHS Weekly Update May 13-17

Dear Parents and Guardians,

These are your updates for the week May 13-17.

  • A Message from the Coventry Hills Elementary Fundraising Society:
    • YAHOO! Its time for our 14th Annual Family Dance! We are so excited that our dance is just around the corner on Thursday, May 23rd! Dance Flyers have gone home with your children and we hope you will join us as CHEFS presents Rodeo Round Up.  Tickets are only $10.00 per family.  We have some great games in store for the kids, fun photo booth(s) and hopefully everyone will enjoy some Two Stepping!!  Our concession and photo booth will be cash free and we recommend you buy your concession coupons in advance.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone on the 23rd.  Volunteers will be needed to help out with this fundraiser (we can’t do it without YOU).  Please use this link to sign up:
  • Our next Fun Lunch will take place on Thursday, May 16.  Orders must be placed by midnight tonight through Healthy Hunger.  Volunteers are also needed to help out.  If you can help, please sign up using this link:
  • Save the Date!  Our Traffic Safety Committee continues their dedicated work toward improving traffic and safety around Coventry Hills School.  On May 25 we are looking for a dedicated group of volunteers who would be willing to help us with curb painting.  The City of Calgary has issued permits to us, allowing us to mark certain “no parking” zones with yellow curb paint.  The goal of this part of the project is to raise awareness for drivers of areas that are off limits to park in.  We anticipate that with 15-20 volunteers we should be able to complete the work in approximately two hours.  Watch for a sign up to be sent out in the coming weeks.

Have a great weekend,

Mrs. Pelling
