CHS Weekly Update October 7-11

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Here are your updates for the week of October 7-11

  • Tuesday, October 8, rooms 1, 2, 9 & 10 are going to the Leighton Center.  Please ensure that your child arrives at school on time, dressed for the weather and with a full lunch and snack.
  • If your child stays for lunch, please ensure that you log into your My CBE/PowerSchool account to register and pay for this service.  Supervision over the lunch period is a fee for service program and students must be registered to participate.
  • The Davidson Apple fundraiser campaign has been extended.  The final date for ordering will be this Thursday, October 10.  Apples will be delivered to CHS on October 25 and pick-up times will be announced closer to that date.  Please note that participation in all fundraising is optional and you should feel no obligation to purchase anything.
  • Please join us this Wednesday, October 9 in our Learning Commons to share your feedback about our draft school development plan.  At this meeting, we will review out 2018-19 school results, share a draft of our 2019-20 school development plan as well as gather feedback on the 2019-20 school development plan.
  • Friday, October 11 is a non-instructional day for students

Thanks and have a great weekend.

Ms. Pelling

Over the course of the 2019-20 school year, we will continue to have conversations with students, parents, and staff to learn from their experiences and to seek their input and suggestions for improvement #yycbe

Earlier this afternoon Chief Superintendent Christopher Usih and Dr. Kent Donlevy presented the results of the independent bullying review #yycbe

There are no classes for students on Friday Oct 11 because it is a system-wide non-instructional day. All schools and offices are closed on Monday Oct 14 for Thanksgiving. Have a fun and safe long weekend! #WeAreCBE
