CHS Weekly Update October 14-18

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Here are your updates for the week of October 14-18

  • Please note that there is no school on Monday, October 14 in observation of Thanksgiving.
  • On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, room 7 will be going to Museum School.  Please ensure that your child arrives at school on time, dressed for the weather and with a full lunch and snack.
  • The Davidson Apple fundraiser campaign is now closed.  Apples can be picked up from the school on October 25 from 12:30 – 1:30 pm.  Thank you to the parent volunteers who have offered to be at the school to help facilitate the pick up.
  • Unfortunately, the meeting planned to review our draft 2019-20 School Development Plan was cancelled due to a medical emergency in my family.  The meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 23 at 5:00 pm in our Learning Commons.  At this meeting, we will review out 2018-19 school results, share a draft of our 2019-20 school development plan as well as gather feedback on the 2019-20 school development plan.
  • Popcorn Day #1 will take place on Thursday October 17.  If you would like to order popcorn, please log into Healthy Hunger to do so.  Please remember that this is an optional fundraiser and there is no obligation to order.  The cut-off for ordering for the first popcorn day is this Saturday, October 12 @ midnight.  If you are interested in helping, sort and deliver popcorn to classrooms, please sign up here.
  • Rooms 3 (Ms. McLaughlin), 4 (Ms. Hager), and 27 (Mrs. Dunlop) will be hosting an assembly on Friday, October 18 at 10:00 am.  Parents of students in these rooms are welcome to attend.

Thanks and have a great long weekend.

Ms. Pelling

There are no classes for students on Friday Oct 11 because it is a system-wide non-instructional day. All schools and offices are closed on Monday Oct 14 for Thanksgiving. Have a fun and safe long weekend! #WeAreCBE https://t.co/bDHlmyqQn6
