CHS Weekly Update November 11-15

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Here are your updates for the week of November 11-15.

There will be no school on Monday, November 11th as it is Remembrance Day. Coventry Hills School would like to thank Brigadier General Nic Stanton, Director General Army Reserve for sharing his thoughtful words about the meaning of Remembrance Day during our last Friday Assembly.

Kernels Popcorn: Just a friendly reminder that our Second official Kernels Popcorn day will be on Thursday, November 14! The cut off for ordering thru Healthy Hunger website will be on Saturday, November 9 @ midnight. Make sure you get your order in this week. ***Note: Kernels popcorn fundraising is available for EDC, Kindergarten- Grade 3 students***   Also the sign up for popcorn will be on Wednesday, since we get popcorn delivered early.

We are going to practice a drill known as a "lockdown" on Thursday, November 14th. The teachers will be instructing students regarding their role during a drill of this kind.  No one is allowed to enter or leave the building during a lockdown procedure. Students have practiced this safety drill in their classrooms and regard them as important as our fire drills.

Come one, come all! School Council will be meeting in the Learning Commons this Thrusday, November 14th at 6:30 pm.

PM kindergarten this Friday, November 15.

Thanks and have a great weekend,

Mrs. Laythorpe,

Assistant Principal
