CHS Weekly Update February 10-14

Here are your updates for the week of Feb. 10-14.

Please note that there is no school on February 13 or 14 due to Staff Convention and no school on February 17 in observation of Family Day.

  • On February 12, students are welcome to bring Valentine Cards to school if they choose. If your child does choose to participate, please have them bring a valentine for each student in their class. Please do not send any candy, food or toys with the Valentines to school. Valentines that have games/activities attached as part of their design will be permitted. Please visit your child's classroom blog for more details.
  • Coventry students have really embraced our "Koalas & Kangas" fundraising initiative. The CHS "Coventry Cares Club" have made morning messages and posters around the school to keep this worthy cause in our hearts & minds. Our talented knitter, Mrs. Stableford, has made a stuffy Koala for the "Guess the Koala's Birthday!". Starting on Tuesday, February 18-March 18, students may purchase one guess for a twoonie. The winner of this contest will win the Koala stuffy!
  • No kindergarten classes on Friday, February 14.
Have a great weekend,

Joan Laythorpe
Assistant Principal
