Learning Commons at the CBE

Today’s learners cannot imagine life without the internet and supporting technology. The concept of the traditional library is changing to include technology, online tools and spaces for collaboration and exploration.

Our Learning Commons

Students are encouraged to use our Learning Commons for school projects and independent reading. Students may come to the Learning Commons to exchange their books during any open Learning Commons time. The loan period at Grant MacEwan School is one week. The replacement of any lost or damaged books are the responsibility of the student and their families.

Book Fairs

Book fairs are held during Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Thank you to everyone who came to our November book fair.  Because of your generous support we were able to purchase over $500 worth of new books for our library. Congratulations to Jireh in room 14 who won the door prize of $25 worth of free books for herself and $25 worth of books to share with her classmates for their classroom library.
