Another Successful Year!
Can you believe that another school year is about to come to an end?!? Everyone has worked so hard to ensure that it has been a successful school year—that students have been acquiring English and Mandarin in fun, meaningful, and authentic ways; that academic growth has been taking place alongside social and personal growth; and students are challenged to think, learn, and problem solve in different and ‘outside of the box’ ways. As parents, thank you for always doing whatever you can to support Highwood School and for making it such a great place for children to learn and develop into great citizens that give back and care for one another.

The month of June is a very packed one! We still have our annual Sports Day that will be on Thursday, June 22nd and our farewell assembly on Wednesday, June 28th. This is when we say good-bye and good luck to our grade four students who will be moving on to middle school, as well as those students and staff who will not be continuing at Highwood School in September.

Report cards will be distributed to all students on the last day of school (Friday, June 29th- half day). If your child will not be at school on that day, it is important that you provide a large, self-addressed, stamped envelope to the school, so that the report card can be mailed to you.

Thanks for another wonderful school year! Have a great summer. Remember to rest and relax… you deserve it (and we also need you well rested so that you’re ready for a jam packed new school year)!

Principal, Highwood School
