Learning Plan Day - Sept 19 & 20

Good morning families of our Jack James Community,

On Thursday, September 19 and Friday September 20 our school timetable has been changed to provide time for teachers and parents/guardians to meet one-on-one to support our students. We call this Learning Plan Day.

Homeroom teachers will be reaching out to our parents/guardians during Jag Time tomorrow, September 13, to book an appointment with you. Parents/Guardians are also welcome to book through this link

Appointments are 20 minutes in length, and homeroom teachers will review and update Individual Program Plans which will include the following (as relevant) :

·         Conditions for Success

·         Current Learning

·         Priority Learning Cycles

·         Specialized Assessment – source of the coding

·         Key Understandings

·         Supports and Services

If you are unable to attend an appointment, homeroom teachers will be able to complete this process over the phone with you.

As we are just a few weeks into classes, appointments will individual teachers will not be scheduled. Parent/Guardian/Teacher Conferences will be on October 24 & 25. Email/phone contact with teachers prior to Interviews is always welcome. Updates on attendance and marks can be found on MyCBE -

Our schedule for September 19 & 20ths will be:

Thursday, September 19       – Period 2, Period 1, classes end at 11:29 (lunch)

-          Learning Plan Appointments 3:00-7:00pm

Friday, September 20             – no scheduled classes for students (Non-Instructional Day)

-          Learning Plan Appointments 8:00-11:00am

We look forward to meeting with you to support our students.
