Oct update - School Conferences, Progress Reports & Important dates

Hello Jack James Community,

We have some important upcoming dates I would like to share with you to help support your student(s) at Jack James High School.

Progress Reports - On Friday, October 11 Progress Reports will be shared with students and families – depending on the course this may be communicated through PowerSchool or via a paper copy sent home. This is an opportunity for teachers to communicate home about what is happening in the course, a student’s achievement as assessed to date, and areas of growth continuing into the semester.

*Some programs will not reflect an accurate level of assessment through the online portal and teachers will communicate in their comments how assessment is occurring.

Parent/Guardian & Teacher Interviews - Progress reports are a good opportunity to start a conversation between students, parents/guardians and teachers. We would like to invite you to Jack James in on October 24 from 2:00-7:00pm or October 25 from 8:00-10:00am to meet with your student’s individual teachers. Please book an appointment with the teacher’s you would like to meet with through the link below or call the main office to book.

Please note – there are no classes for students on October 24 and October 25.

To book an appointment to meet with individual teachers, please log into your MyCBE/POWERSCHOOL account

Access to book appointments will be available starting today, October 11.

School Council Meeting - We would also like to invite parents/guardians to our School Council Meeting on October 24 at 6:00pm. This is an opportunity for parents/guardians and community members to make a meaningful difference for students and to share your voice on matters related to the school. Anyone is welcome to attend.
