One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Under the School Act, a parent society is a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. The school principal is not part of this group. More information can be found in our CBE Administrative Regulation 5001 – School Councils and School/Parent Societies.

Our Parent Society is Known as Riverbend Elementary Parent Society (REPS).

Meeting Dates

Parent Society meetings take place immediately after School Council meetings, one Wednesday per month at the school starting between 7:00 and 7:30 and ending at 8:00.
