Services

Educational Supports are available to students to help them meet their educational goals through academic accommodations, IPP coordination, course advising, program planning and post-secondary preparation.  Personal Counselling is available to support students with various concerns such as stress management, mental health and wellness, relationship conflicts and life events and transitions.  Career counselling is available to support students in their exploration of current and future goals. Students may book appointments with their appropriate advisor.

Counselors:

  • Ms. Leanne Richmond – Grade 10 Counselor
  • Ms. Deb Ingram – Grade 11  Counselor
  • Ms. Jane Drake – Grade 12  Counselor

Career Counselling:

Ms. Kirsten Gaucher is our Administrative Assistant and has access to a variety of resources.

Ms. Kim Horricks our Career Practitioner has extensive knowledge when students are exploring post-secondary planning and applications, scholarships, CBE Unique opportunities, career choices, job searching and resumes; she is available for one to one counseling

Ms. Sarah Greenfield is our Indigenous Success Coach; she is available to help our students and staff build an understanding of indigenous pedagogy to best support our students personal growth, high school completion and career pathways.

Mr. Corey Walyuchow is our Work Experience and RAP Coordinator; he is available to provide support to students, who are working while attending school, to earn additional high school credits and to support students transition to the workforce.

Career Exploration Centre - The Career Exploration Centre (CEC) is a fun, interactive environment where you can get hands-on experience with a variety of careers located on the SAIT campus.
