week and how you the parent can take this learning and connect it to the
outside events that are happening in the community, city, country or the world.

No school - February
14 and 15 is Teacher’s Convention and Family Day, February 18.
3.
The closure of Rosscarrock School is being considered
and Wildwood School is one of two schools that the students may be transferred
to. Last week, The Board of Trustees voted 6 to 1 to consider the closure
of Rosscarrock School. There will be a public meeting on March 7 for the
Trustees to hear from the public and CBE administration. It will be held at
Rosscarrock School. After that it will go back to a Board meeting for a
final decision. Please see the attachment for more details of the public
meeting.

Wildwood School is in the process of getting
painted. They started Feb 11 and are
working on the prepping before the final job.
The office, Learning Commons, gymnasium, and washrooms will be
painted. All doors in the school will be
painted inside and out as well. We are
excited for the new fresh look!! School
Council will be providing funds to support the painting of the bathroom
stalls. Thank you School Council for
your support of Wildwood School.

Thank you to the Grade
Three students and teachers that led the traditional “Friendship Dance” today.
Kindergarten to Grade Three students you were awesome on the dance floor! We thank all our families that attended
this great event!

Our
next Festive Foods lunch is coming up on Thursday, February 21st.
We are having Panago Pizza and they do have gluten free, as well as dairy free
options, so please check it out. **The deadline to order pizza online is
February 16th; however any manual order forms need to be in the
office by Wednesday, February 13th (no school on the 14th
or 15th). Get your orders in at www.HealthyHunger.ca. The Festive
Foods Team and the school staff also want to say a big thank you to the
donations made on the past Festive Foods order. You contributed over
$70.00 and not only does this provide extra lunches on our fun lunch days, it
also helps to stock those food items that are given to students in need on a
daily basis. Great work and thank you! If you have questions or
