Volunteer Tea

Dear Parents,
I am so happy to be writing this to you as I sit in the sunshine on my back deck! I hope you are enjoying this long weekend as much as I am. I have three things for you this week. First of all, I would like to extend a personal invitation to all parents to come to our Volunteer Tea on Thursday! We believe all of you do extra things to make our school a special place and would love to have the chance to extend a personal thank you. More details are below and a quick email to your classroom teacher will work as an RSVP so we can plan for you.
Second, the rainy part of the school year is upon us. Please know that when it is raining outside we use our judgment as to when the students go outside at recess and lunch. If it is a drizzle or light rain, they will most likely go outside. If it is pouring or there is potential for lightning, we all stay indoors. It is really important children come prepared to be outside if there is a possibility of wet weather.
Finally, we received our budget allocations from the CBE late last week. We are working through all of the implications right now and I will keep you posted as we figure them out. For now, I would like to share that we do not think we will need to relocate part of our Learning Commons to the stage for the upcoming school year.
Have a great week! I hope to see many of you at the Volunteer Tea!
If you have any questions or I can be of help in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.
