Annie Foote School has many extracurricular programs that help keep kids active. We run many clubs that are for specific sports for our grade five and six students, and which sometimes include younger students in grades three and four. The older grades participate in some inter-school friendly games with other elementary schools from the Properties. In past years, we’ve had cross-country, basketball and soccer meets. Some of the other sports we sponsor as school-based clubs include handball, badminton, floor hockey, basketball, soccer and running.

Upcoming clubs include:

Basketball, floor hockey, badminton, and soccer - students who are interested in a club are invited to pick up letters from Mr. Murray when he has the dates and staff lined up.

The Alien In-Line skating residency was a great success - students made incredible progress with their skating skills, having fun and building self confidence in the process. Many thanks to the wonderful parent volunteers that came each day and helped with skates, helmets, various protective tools like wrist guards. That was the tough part - then they helped kids pick themselves up after falling and provided much appreciated encouragement and support!

We will be going swimming in the spring during the weeks of April 27, May 4, and May 11. More information about this essential physical education program will be coming out in the spring. Our Parent Society subsidizes most of the cost of these lessons and parents are asked to pay their portion of $20.00 online.
