You will gain experience within various physical activities assisting you in further understanding health and wellness benefits, promoting positive interactions and leading an active lifestyle.

March/April 2018

The Annie Gale physical education team is happy to let you know that we are encouraged by the effort, cooperation, and commitment demonstrated by the majority of our students as we move further into the school year.  As always, we encourage our students to set goals, to participate to the best of their ability, and to strive to achieve their personal best in ALL activities.

Our intramural program is up and running once again Monday through Thursday during the lunch break. Following several weeks of drop-in badminton to open the New Year, we now have approximately 80 Grade 6 and 7 students participating in a Futsal (Soccer) League.  Meanwhile, about 90 Grade 8 and 9 students are competing in the GHL (Grizzlies Floor Hockey League).

Our basketball teams are just a week away from playoffs. We have witnessed a tremendous amount of growth in both individual skills and team play throughout the season. Good luck to all of the teams as they compete in their final regular season games and prepare for the playoffs. Look for an update in the March newsletter to see how the season wraps up.  With the basketball season coming to a close, it is time to start thinking about badminton. We have three badminton teams again this year: Grade 6/7, Grade 8, and Grade 9. Note that tryouts for these teams begin April 3, 2018. Specific times for each team are announced and posted in physical education classes.
