There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. In our school, this can include providing in-kind donations, contributing cash and lending expertise and technical knowledge. Connect with our principal on what may be appropriate. Spring Meet the Dome Bake Sale

Come check out the weather trackign equipment in the dome and see what's growing!

If you are able to bake for this fundraiser please contact Vicky Chio.

The Capitol Hill Elementary Enhancement Society or CHEES is our fundraising committee that plans and organizes activities to raise funds needed to make our school both highly successful and enriched. To date, funds raised from CHEES grants, casinos & fundraisers have funded our new school playground, our artist-in-residence program, new technology equipment, enrichment resources and performances. CHEES works with Council and the Principal to prioritize funding needs.

Some of our fundraising activities include:

Casino

A casino is held every eighteen months with all the proceeds going towards supporting student learning at Capitol Hill School. We would like to extend a big thank you to all of the volunteers and their families, who made our casino event a success. Our casino is a major fundraiser for the school.  Funds raised will be used towards program-related equipment, resource materials, field trip transportation, and development programs.

Admazing Savings Books (formerly SUTP)

Each year the school offers coupon books for sale starting early in September. The savings books provide you with hundreds of valuable coupons and $10 from every book sold goes back to the school. The profits from this sale are used to cover the cost of events like pizza parties for our student leaders and volunteers. The books can be purchased in the school office.

Fun Lunches

Fun lunches are periodically scheduled and gives our students an opportunity to eat lunch, socialize with their friends at school and take part in special activities. The funds raised with this program will support students in our community as well as school events such as Sports Day.

Calgary Roughnecks Hockey

In partnership with the Calgary Roughnecks, discounted tickets are offered and $5 of every ticket purchased goes back to our school.

Goodwill Hamper Initiative

An annual school-wide initiative to support the spirit of giving and generosity, and to help out families within our community who are striving to provide for their family in difficult times. Items and monetary donations are collected in December.

Each class will create a Christmas hamper in support of their assigned family. Suggestions are non-perishable food items such as canned meats.fish, pasta, pasta sauce, canned soup, canned fruit, canned vegetables, cereals, juice, jam, rice, beans, coffee and tea. Other suggestions are (grocery store) gift cards, gifts, new clothing, and personal care items. Boxes and wrapping paper would also be appreciated and may be dropped-off at the office.
