There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. In our school, this can include providing in-kind donations, contributing cash and lending expertise and technical knowledge. Connect with our principal on what may be appropriate. For more information on ways to give to CBE, visit Donate on the CBE website.

Capitol Hill Elementary Enhancement Society (CHEES)

CHEES is our fundraising committee that plans and organizes activities to raise funds needed to make our school both highly successful and enriched. To date, funds raised from CHEES grants, casinos & fundraisers have funded our new school playground, our artist-in-residence program, new technology equipment, enrichment resources and performances. CHEES works with Council and the Principal to prioritize funding needs.

Some of our fundraising activities include:

Casino

A casino is held every eighteen months with all the proceeds going towards supporting student learning at Capitol Hill School. We would like to extend a big thank you to all of the volunteers and their families, who made our casino event a success. Our casino is a major fundraiser for the school.  Funds raised will be used towards program-related equipment, resource materials, field trip transportation, and development programs.

Fun Lunches

Fun lunches are periodically scheduled and gives our students an opportunity to eat lunch, socialize with their friends at school and take part in special activities. The funds raised with this program will support students in our community as well as school events such as Sports Day.

Calgary Roughnecks Hockey

In partnership with the Calgary Roughnecks, discounted tickets are offered and $5 of every ticket purchased goes back to our school.
