We’re proud of our school and like to share our spirit.

Pink Shirt Day

On Wednesday February 27th, students and staff at CJP are encouraged to participate in Pink Shirt day by wearing a pink (or red or orange) shirt.

Pink Shirt Day originated when David Shepard, Travis Price, and their teenage friends organized a protest at their Nova Scotia high school to wear pink in sympathy with a grade 9 boy who was being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. These students took a stand against bullying when they protested against the harassment of a new grade 9 student by distributing pink T-shirts to all the boys in their school. Your child is encouraged to also take a stand against bullying and unkind behaviour by wearing pink on Wednesday February 27th.
