Middle School Courses

CBe-learn offers a full complement of middle school courses to facilitate full-time or part-time studies.

Here is a list of the middle school courses that we offer in our learning environment:

*French as a Second Language (FSL) is an option available for students who are interested in the program.

Career & Technology Foundations

Career and Technology Foundations (CTF) components are incorporated into the junior high core courses.

The CTF program of studies was launched by Alberta Education to replace the previous complimentary course program of studies. At CBe-learn, students in junior high will take part in multidisciplinary project-based learning. The semester long projects will give students an exposure to many of the 5 different occupational clusters:

  • Business
  • Human Services
  • Communication
  • Resources, and
  • Technology 

Live Room / Blackboard Collaborate Schedule

Junior High Liveroom ScheduleLive Room (Blackboard Collaborate) is an online shared environment where you can communicate with your teacher and share information in a visual and auditory way.

  • There is a shared whiteboard space where files, drawings or presentations can be uploaded and shared.
  • It uses voice technology, so with a headset or microphone, you’ll be able to talk and listen directly to your teacher or your classmates.
  • It can be used with the class, small groups or as a one-on-one communication tool when needed.
  • It takes place in real-time, and can be much more dynamic than text-based communication methods.

The CBe-learn Middle School program has a set schedule where students are expected to be online learning with their teacher.

Students are able to pick their CTS course based on an associated pathway. CBe-learn has the following CTS offerings:

CBe-learn reserves the right to cancel any course without sufficient student registration. When a class is canceled by CBe-learn, a 100% refund will be made.
