Colonel J. Fred Scott offers a Noon Supervision Program.  Students must register in this program prior to attending.

The yearly cost for the 4-day program is yet to be determined. Please check our school website for updates. There is also a one-time $10.00 cash activity fee.  You MUST register your child prior to him/her attending the program. Registration will

be available online here during the summer. For further information about the Noon Supervision Program including payment options, go to our Noon Supervision page.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten classes begin on Sept. 5. There will be a staggered entry for our Kindergarten students Sept. 5, 6 and 7. Parents/Guardians of students who have already registered their children for the 2017 - 2018 school year will receive a letter in the mail during the summer indicating the times/days when their child needs to attend. The staggered entry will allow for teachers to have smaller groups and for students/parents to become familiar with the classroom and their new teachers. There will be no school for Kindergarten students on Friday Sept. 8, while the teachers formulate the class lists. Parents will be called and notified of their child’s class placement.

Breakfast Program

Our school offers a Breakfast Program for students whose parents are unable to provide their children with a nutritional breakfast. This program, which is free of charge, runs from 8:15 - 8:30 AM, Monday to Friday.

Our school office opens on Aug. 30 at 9:00 AM for registration. We look forward to a great year ahead. If you have any questions that we haven’t addressed here, please contact Mrs. Dhadda or Mrs. Grant in the main office at 403-777-6710.

Do You Have a MyCBE / PowerSchool Parent Account?

Parents who have not already done so, must create an account in MyCBE / PowerSchool to:

  • Pay fees or apply for a waiver

  • Register for transportation and noon supervision

  • View student progress

To create a new account, go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on Create Parent Account. You will need to have your child(ren)’s CBE Student ID Number and use your email on file at the school.

Fees and Waivers

School fees will be charged to families after the start of the school year in September and October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.

There are a number of different ways you are able to pay school fees, including: online using VISA, MasterCard, VISA Debit or Interac Online; in-person at schools; or by sending in a cheque to the school or CBE.

You can find more information on the CBE school fees and waivers page.

Yellow School Bus Transportation

Yellow school bus routes for the 2019-20 school year are created over the summer and based on the addresses submitted before the pre-registration deadline in May. While CBE Transportation continues to accept pre-registrations, these will not be considered until route changes are done after Thanksgiving.

Yellow school bus route maps are posted on the CBE website: www.cbe.ab.ca/busstop

In October, a confirmation email will be sent to all parents/guardians who have submitted a pre-registration, if the parent/guardian has subscribed to receive messages. It will include transportation fee information (if applicable) and payment options (if applicable). Families can cancel their pre-registration with no financial penalty using MyCBE / PowerSchool by Oct. 31, 2019.

More information about 2019-20 transportation service levels and proposed fees are posted on the CBE website.

Conditional riders can also register using MyCBE / PowerSchool. Applications will be considered after eligible riders registrations have been processed.

Further Information
