One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Under the School Act, a parent society is a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. The school principal is not part of this group. More information can be found in our CBE Administrative Regulation 5001 – School Councils and School/Parent Societies.

Our Parent Society is Known as the

Friends of Connaught Community School Association.

All event fundraising activities are managed by the Association. Fundraising activities for 2017-2018 will be aligned to support an approximate budget requirement of $1,000. This will include:

  • The Magazine Fundraiser (Sept-Oct)
  • Santa/holiday themed chocolate lollies (December)
  • Heart chocolate lollies (February – program and proceeds split with Student Council).

WestJet Gift of Flight Raffle | Deadline Feb. 26, 2018

Tickets | $10 each

Grand Prize: 2 Tickets to Anywhere WestJet Flies!
