Important Dates

We follow the CBE Traditional Calendar. The calendar sets common start and end days, non-instructional days and holidays. For our school’s additional non-instructional days, late entries, early dismissal days and events, see our school calendar page.


Planning is underway for what the 2020-21 school year will look like for our students, staff and families. The CBE has created an internal task force with representatives from every service unit to lead the planning for different scenarios. All of our decisions will be guided by the advice of the province’s chief medical officer of health and Alberta Education guidelines. The safety and well being of our students and staff will come first in any decisions we make. More information will be provided to families before the first day of classes on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020.

  • Nutrition Break - 9:38 to 9:43 AM
  • Period 3 - 9:43 to 10:31 AM
  • Period 4 - 10:33 to 11:21 AM
  • Lunch - 11:21 AM to 12:02 PM
  • Period 5 - 12:02 to 12:50 PM
  • Period 6 - 12:52 to 1:40 PM
  • Period 7 - 1:42 to 2:30 PM

Friday Time: 

  • Period 1 - 8:00 to 8:45 AM

Noon Supervision / Healthy Hunger

All Grade 5/6 students will eat lunch in the cafeteria from 11:21am - 11:40am  Grades 7-9 students may stay in the building to eat in the hallways or a supervised classroom or they are permitted to leave the school campus. From 11:40am - 11:57am, all students have access to the outside field, Computer Lab, Learning commons, Intramurals in the gym, and extra help in supervised classrooms. 

Healthy Hunger : more information will be available in the fall.

Assigned Teachers 

Student timetables may be available using the PowerSchool app in late August. Please note that changes are still being made at this time and that timetables are not entirely accurate until the first day of classes. Please see the CBE website for more information on PowerSchool. If you have any concerns or questions regarding your student's timetable please contact Mrs. Muhlberger in the Main Office. Please keep in mind that any adjustments will be considered in consultation with teaching teams taking into account factors such as class size, learning needs and peer relationships.

Do You Have a MyCBE / PowerSchool Parent Account?

Parents who have not already done so, must create an account in MyCBE / PowerSchool to:

  • Pay fees or apply for a waiver

  • Register for transportation and noon supervision

  • View student progress

To create a new account, go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on Create Parent Account. You will need to have your child(ren)’s CBE Student ID Number and use your email on file at the school.​

Fees and Waivers

School fees will be charged to families after the start of the school year in September and October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.
