Infirmary (Sudden illness)

If a student becomes ill and is unable to participate in class, the student will speak with the teacher and request permission to go to the main office. Students will be directed to the infirmary or they may be asked to wait for a parent pickup.  If a student becomes ill during the lunch hour they will check out through the main office before going home. This way, both the school and parents or guardians will be aware of the illness. Please Note that the school is not permitted to dispense any medications.

School Nurse

The services of a Public Health Nurse are available to students in the guidance office. Students and parents are invited to contact the South Community Health Centre about any personal or public health concern. The school nurse provides health awareness programs and information for students, parents and teachers.
