Dr. E. P. Scarlett’s Environment Club is a student driven club that organizes various activities and initiatives to promote and encourage greater sustainability through our student body.  This club meets on Wednesday at lunch in Room 149. The teacher sponsors for this club are Mrs. McLeod (njmcleod@cbe.ab.ca) and Mrs. Young (adyoung@cbe.ab.ca).

Some of the projects that Environment Club Students have participated in in the past include:

  • Fundraising for water bottle refill stations
  • Book exchange
  • School yard clean-up
  • Establishing a vegetable garden
  • Pollinator presentations
  • Eco-gift wrapping
  • Caring for Our Watersheds
  • Microplastic awareness
  • Vegetarian potlucks
  • Environmental photo contest
  • CAWST – Center for Affordable Water and Sanitation
  • Water use awareness
  • Bake sales to raise funds for environmental agencies
  • Inside Education Gener8 and Navig8 Youth Summits
