Registration Process

  1. Print the Registration Check List and ensure you have all of the paperwork listed.
  2. Print and fill out the CBE Registration Form.
  3. If Dr. E.P. Scarlett is not your designated CBE High School print the Transfer Form and take it first to your designated school and get it signed. Then include it in your registration package to Dr. E.P. Scarlett.
  4. If you are entering Dr. E.P. Scarlett in Grade 10 next year please print and fill out the Grade Ten Course Request Form. If you are entering grade 11 or 12 next year then please print and fill out the Grade 11 & 12 Course Request Form.
  5. If you are planning to take an Advanced Placement Course please fill out the Advanced Placement Expression of Intent.
  6. Please attach your most recent Transcript of Marks/Report Card.
  7. Please print and fill out the Request for Student Records Form.
  8. If you have checked off IPP (individual Program Plan) above or have a Psycho-educational Assessment please attach this to your registration package.
  9. Ensure you attach Proof of Residency (utility bill).
  10. If you are not a CBE student you will be required to provide a copy of your Birth Certificate/Passport/Permanent Resident Card.
  11. Ensure you have Custody/Guardianship  documents if the student is:
    1. a student of divorced parents
    2. not living with parents proof of legal guardianship must be provided (documentation from Court of Queen’s Bench).


Students Who Have Not Registered by June 30

After JUNE 30: Please call the school at 403-281-3366 to book a Registration Appointment. Registration Appointments will begin on Monday Aug. 27 and will be ongoing into September.  You can pick up a Registration Package from the Main Office during July and August or print the appropriate documents below and bring them to your Registration Appointment. Drop-in registrations cannot be accommodated. Registration Appointments must be booked through the school. Please be aware that the School Office will be closed on certain days in July and August. 

Fourth Year Applications 

Students are expected to complete high school within three years. On occasion fourth year applications are received and may be considered. Fourth year applications should be discussed with a guidance counsellor and an assistant principal, and will be accepted or denied by the principal. The decision to approve or deny a fourth year application is guided by CBE Administrative Regulation 6093—Fourth Year of High School. All Fourth Year approvals are on a semester by semester basis.
