Traffic Safety

Ensuring our students get to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. Please be mindful of crosswalks, parking rules and speed limits when you are near our schools, especially during the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.

Getting to School by Bus at the CBE

Students in the Calgary Board of Education travel to school in a variety ways, including walking, taking yellow buses or Calgary Transit or being driven by parents/guardians. Their safety is important, no matter how they get to school and home again.

Getting a Ride

For students that are being driven to and from school, we ask that both the drivers and students follow the safety recommendations in Parking and Drop-Off.

Our Walk Zone

Information on the walk zone can be found in our School Profile. Students who live outside of the school’s walk zone will be eligible for transportation to the school. Children who live within the walk zone may arrive to school on foot or by other means.

Before and After School Care

The CBE does not operate daycare or before and after school (out of school) programs. A before and after school care program is not being offered by a third-party in our school.
