Traffic Safety

Ensuring our students get to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. Please be mindful of crosswalks, parking rules and speed limits when you are near our schools, especially during the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.

For safety reasons, students are not allowed in the parking lot. Parents are asked not to enter the parking lot to drop off or pick up children; this should occur on one of the streets surrounding the school. Parking is not permitted within five metres of crosswalks.

Playground/School zones (max. 30 km/hr) are in effect from 7:30 AM - 9:00 PM year round. Please show care and concern for the safety of all children by respecting the posted speeds.

Parking Around Schools: Photo Enforcement

Calgary Parking Authority is helping to make school areas safer for our students and school communities. The Calgary Parking Authority is now using photo enforcement in addition to Enforcement Officers in school areas, so tickets may be received in the mail or placed on vehicles that are in violation of parking regulations.

Please view the "Photo Enforcement Infographic" to the right for Tips on how to avoid parking fines.
