Important Dates

We follow the CBE Traditional Calendar. The calendar sets common start and end days, non-instructional days and holidays. For our school’s additional non-instructional days, late entries, early dismissal days and events, see our school calendar page.


Please review the links below, these will provide useful information and answer any questions you may have about your first day of school, and our day-to-day expectations of students. 

First Day of Classes

Return summer mail-out purple forms, timetables, ID cards, and parking passes will be issued on the following days: 

Grade 10 August 30, 2019   9:00 AM  – 12:00 PM
Grade 11 August 29,  2019  9:00 AM  –  11:00 AM
Grade 12 August 29, 2019 12:00 PM  –   2:00 PM

Student Services will be open on August 28, 29 & 30 to support new registrations, and the School Store will be open for purchase of calculators, gym strips, clothing, and other school needs.

Our first day of classes is September 3, 2019 and the school office is open to parents Monday to Friday, all year.

Monday – Thursday 8:53 AM – 3:31 PM
Friday 9:00 AM – 1:09 PM

School Supply Lists

School supply lists are distributed by teachers in class.

Students taking Math 10 C, 20-1, 20-2, 30-1, 30-2 will need a graphing calculator.

Cafeteria

Our cafeteria will open on September 16th at lunch. Cafeteria service is available Monday to Thursday.

Our school office is open all year for registration, Monday-Friday 8 AM-4 PM.

Athletics

Several teams have meetings and/or start practice before school begins:

Grade 10 Girls soccer
September 3, After school

Sr Girls/Boys volleyball
August 28, 3:00 PM

Jr Boys football
August 26, 3:00 PM

Sr Boys football
August 26, 3:00 PM

For all other fall sports (cross country, cheer, junior boys/girls volleyball), there will be a Fall Sports Fair on Tuesday, September 3.

Fees and Waivers

School fees will be charged to families after the start of the school year in September and October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.

Do You Have a MyCBE / PowerSchool Parent Account?

Parents who have not already done so, must create an account in MyCBE / PowerSchool to:

  • Pay fees or apply for a waiver

  • Register for transportation and noon supervision

  • View student progress

To create a new account, go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on Create Parent Account. You will need to have your child(ren)’s CBE Student ID Number and use your email on file at the school.
