Important Dates

We follow the CBE Traditional Calendar. The calendar sets common start and end days, non-instructional days and holidays. For our school’s additional non-instructional days, late entries, early dismissals days and events, see our school calendar page.


Please review the links below, these will provide useful information and answer any questions you may have about your first day of school, and our day-to-day expectations of students. 

First Day of Classes

Timetables, ID cards, and parking passes will be issued on the following days: 

Grade 10 August 31, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Grade 11 August 30, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Grade 12 August 30, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

On these days, Student Services will be open to support new registrations, and the School Store will be open for purchase of calculators, gym strips, clothing, and other school needs.

Our first day of classes is September 4th and the school office is open to parents Monday to Friday, all year.

The first day of classes we will have a staggered entry as follows:

Grade 10, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Grades 11 & 12, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

School Start & End Times

Our bell times are:

Monday – Thursday 8:53 AM – 3:31 PM
Friday 9:00 AM – 1:09 PM

School Supply Lists

School supply lists are distributed by teachers in class.

Students taking Math 10C, 20-1, 20-2, 30-1, 30-2 will need a graphing calculator.

Cafeteria

Our cafeteria will open on September 17 at lunch. Cafeteria service is available Monday to Thursday.

Our school office is open all year for registration, Monday-Friday 8 AM-4 PM.

Fees and Waivers

School fees will be charged to families after the start of the school year in September and October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.

There are a number of different ways you are able to pay school fees, including: online using VISA, MasterCard, VISA Debit or Interac Online; in-person at schools; or by sending in a cheque to the school or CBE.​

Do You Have a MyCBE / PowerSchool Parent Account?

Parents who have not already done so, must create an account in MyCBE / PowerSchool to:

  • Pay fees or apply for a waiver

  • Register for transportation and noon supervision

  • View student progress

To create a new account, go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on Create Parent Account. You will need to have your child(ren)’s CBE Student ID Number and use your email on file at the school.
