Lingua E Cultura Italiana

Learning a new language is always a great opportunity that provides new opportunities in our increasingly globalized world.

This new introductory course is for students who have absolutely no knowledge of the Italian language. Students will have the opportunity to listen, speak, read and write Italian in everyday situations. This will be accomplished with the help of audio resources, a textbook/workbook, and continuous practice in class. In addition, the student will be able to understand Italian in structured contexts, the meaning of simple concrete ideas expressed in both oral and written, based on various themes.

To further engage the students, they will be exposed to Italian current music and film. The culture of Italians both in Italy and abroad will be examined throughout the course.
