Home Study

Junior High School students are expected to develop an organized nightly study program. Parents can help their sons or daughters by providing a suitable atmosphere, a regular time for study, and periodic supervision. A guideline time for study is:

  • Grade 7 – 30 minutes
  • Grade 8 – 45 minutes
  • Grade 9 – 1 hour

This amount of time may vary throughout the week. Each subject teacher is available to give guidance to students on the proper methods of home study.

Missed Work

Missed work for all absences, including major field trips, is the student’s responsibility. You may see your classmates and/or your teachers when you return to school for work that was missed. Teachers are available for extra help on an appointment basis. Students are encouraged to use the D2L site to check for missed assignments.
