Because Highwood School mainly consists of students who are bused to and from school, after school curricular activities are limited. During the year school staff will offer noon hour clubs and activities. The purpose of these clubs is to help foster the growth of our students’ interests and to provide enrichment to the school curriculum. Some of the clubs we have had in the past included:

  • Leadership
  • Knitting
  • Floor Hockey
  • Origami
  • Lego

Sign up information for the clubs will be distributed a few weeks before clubs start (usually in the spring after Chinese New Year).

After School Cultural Activities (ASCA)

ASCA is a parent run group that contracts professionals to teach students classes such as martial arts, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese dance, etc. Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school at the school. Students can participate in these classes for a small fee and parents are responsible for picking up their child after classes (no buses will be provided). More information will be provided in the fall.
