There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. In our school, this can include providing in-kind donations, contributing cash and lending expertise and technical knowledge. Connect with our principal on what may be appropriate. Marion Carson Special Events - Cookies for Kids

Tuesday, December 18, 2018

Mark your calendars.

On December 18, the Special Events committee will once again be organizing the popular cookie sale to the students.  Students will be given the opportunity to purchase cookies and other treats at lunch on December 18.

Notices were sent out with more information, and of course how to donate cookies.

Week of Giving

Thank you to all the participants in the Week of Giving. We received an incredible number of items, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant and other toiletries, to donate to the Mustard Seed this year. Over 600 items of food were also brought in to be donated to the Calgary Food Bank. Over $1360 in cash was received and split to be donated to the Mustard and Calgary Food Bank. Large or small, all the donations will be greatly appreciated by those in need. Thank you to everyone at Marion Carson School for your generosity.

ADmazing Fundraiser Update

A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s fundraiser for the Marion Carson Parent Association. We have sold 425 books, awarded a number of weekly draw prize winners and acknowledged those who went above and beyond to sell these coupon books. As a school community we raised $4,000 for the Marion Carson Parent Association general account. These funds go directly towards helping cover the costs of a variety of enrichment programs for all the students such as the Spring and Christmas concerts, New Year’s celebrations, leadership opportunities, farewells and other fun activities. It also helps assist with the School’s budget where there may be a shortfall. All of this is discussed on a monthly basis at our Parent Association meetings which every parent or guardian is welcome to attend. Your thoughts, your knowledge and therefore your voice is very helpful in shaping the direction we take as a school community.

Thanks again to all the parents, students, teachers and staff for your continued support year after year! It was another Amazing ADmazing year!
