Allergies

Nut Free School

We have children at our school who are allergic to nuts and related nut products. Parents must indicate any special health concerns on the school registration for their child and are encouraged to ensure classroom teachers are also aware of health issues.

Student Health Plan

Please inform us if your child requires a Student Health Plan. The Student Health Plan form should be:

  • completed if a physical or medical condition may affect the student’s attendance at school;
  • completed if medication is to be taken at school;
  • reviewed and updated annually or sooner if there is a change in the student’s health concern.

Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Program

In 2018/19 school year we are thrilled to offer in partnership with Alberta Health Services Elbow River Healing Lodge, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Program in Niitsitapi Learning Centre parking lot twice a month. Please welcome Dr. Lana Potts, as family physician. Please see the attached information in the sidebar. 

The Care Mobile program offers a number of health and wellness services including:

  • Health screening including blood glucose and blood pressure
  • Flu vaccinations
  • Active living education and planning
  • General health education
  • Referrals to local doctors and other community health and wellness resources
  • In addition, Dr. Potts will be on site in the nurse's room for consultation by appointment, please see our school calendar and call the office to book an appointment.
