Open Elder Time 

The Niitsitapi Learning Centre is honored to offer open Elder time to all of our families. Blackfoot Elder Randy Bottle and Cree/Metis Elder Kerrie Moore will be on site on a monthly basis to support your family’s needs.  Elder are able to support with traditional teachings, ceremonial advice as well as guidance around various Indigenous way of knowing being and doing.  Please consult the Niitsitapi Learning Centre calendar to find the date for open Elder time and call the office to make an appointment.

Cree Language Classes 

Come learn Cree through concepts related to traditional ways of life! 

When: Tuesday 6-8 PM, Sep. 17 – Nov. 26, 2019

Where: The Niitsitapi Learning Centre (3743 Dover Ridge Dr. SE)

Classes offered free of charge!

Family Powwow Night

Families will have the opportunity to learn traditional powwow dancing. 

All ages and families welcome however children under the age of 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Class sizes will be limited. Register early to secure your spot, drop-ins welcome space permitting!

When: Thursday evenings from 6-8 PM (starting Sept. 26)

Offered free of charge! Snacks provided.

After School Program 2019-2020

The City of Calgary offers an After School Program, Koko'sinooniks from 12-2pm. Please see the office for a registration package. Space is limited. Lunch is provided, however there is no transportation.
