Learning Commons at the CBE

Today’s learners cannot imagine life without the internet and supporting technology. The concept of the traditional library is changing to include technology, online tools and spaces for collaboration and exploration.

Vista Heights Learning Commons

We have a variety of print resources to borrow. They are picture books, chapter books, non-fiction books, and magazines.  Print resources can be borrowed for 2 weeks then they need to be returned or brought in to be renewed. After 2 weeks if the resources are not returned or renewed they are deemed overdue and need to be returned immediately.

Lunch time “Open Commons”

Open Commons is held Monday to Thursday from 12:30 – 12:45 pm.
Students are invited in to:

  • Use the desk top computers on approved lunch use websites
  • Read and borrow books
  • Draw pictures
  • Build with the Lego
  • Work on school projects
