First Day of Classes

Sept 3, 2019 - On Tuesday, Sept 3 we welcome our New to Willow Park School students. Buses will be running and lunch will be provided. Bring drinks and snacks.

Sept 4, 2019 - On Wednesday, Sept. 4 we welcome all our students, new and returning, to the 2019-20 school year.

Our bell times are: 

  • Monday to Thursday: 9:12 AM to 3:53 PM (Lunch: 12:04 PM to 12:54 PM)
  • Fridays: 9:12 AM to 1:24 PM

Noon Supervision

Students in Grades 7-9 will eat lunch during the first half of our lunch hour. They may bring their own lunch, purchase lunch at our cafeteria or go off campus, excluding Southcentre Mall. The students in Grades 5 and 6 go outside during the first half of our lunch hour and eat during the second half of our lunch hour. (Grade 5 & 6 students MUST report to lunch supervisors for attendance when they come inside to eat.) They may bring their own lunch or purchase lunch at our cafeteria. They do not have off-campus privileges.

The cafeteria offers a full range of hot or cold, nutritious, nut-free meals for purchase beginning Monday, September 9. 

Assigned Teachers 

New students will meet in the gym on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 9:12 AM to be greeted by Homeroom teachers. Homeroom lists will be posted in the school on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 8:00 AM. Students will go to their homeroom classes. Student timetables will be distributed on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.

Do You Have a MyCBE / PowerSchool Parent Account?

Parents who have not already done so, must create an account in MyCBE / PowerSchool to:

  • Pay fees or apply for a waiver

  • Register for transportation and noon supervision

  • View student progress

To create a new account, go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on Create Parent Account. You will need to have your child(ren)’s CBE Student ID Number and use your email on file at the school.​

Fees and Waivers

School fees will be charged to families after the start of the school year in September and October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.

Yellow School Bus Tra​nsportation

Yellow school bus routes for the 2019-20 school year are created over the summer and based on the addresses submitted before the pre-registration deadline in May. While CBE Transportation continues to accept pre-registrations, these will not be considered until route changes are done after Thanksgiving.

In October, a confirmation email will be sent to all parents/guardians who have submitted a pre-registration, if the parent/guardian has subscribed to receive messages. It will include transportation fee information (if applicable) and payment options (if applicable). Families can cancel their pre-registration with no financial penalty using MyCBE / PowerSchool by Oct. 31, 2019.

Conditional riders can also register using MyCBE / PowerSchool. Applications will be considered after eligible riders registrations have been processed.​​​
