About Us

Alex Munro Highlights

Due to the public health requirements to ensure schools are safe for students, some of the familiar and valued features of school life have been adjusted. We are committed to revisiting these initiatives when the circumstances allow for it. In the meantime we continue to do what is possible to create a safe and nurturing school environment for all learners.

  • Fine Arts Programming: Students continue to participate in Fine Arts learning at this time. Programming is currently focused on the provision of visual arts learning activities to enable students to remain in their classrooms with their identified cohort.
  • AMA Patrol Program: Pedestrian safety is a priority for the staff and students at Alex Munro School. For reasons related to changes in enrollment and availability of enough student leaders, the School Patrol is not active at this time. We will revisit this decision throughout the school year and remain open to the possibilities.
  • Outdoor Learning Spaces: Students access the outdoor learning spaces throughout the school day. A schedule is in place to ensure student cohorts are not intersecting during their outdoor play.
  • Modern Learning Commons: Students continue to access the collection in their classrooms with the provision of bins of books that are circulated according to public health guidelines.
