| I have had an amazing first week! I can’t thank the students, parents and staff enough for such a warm welcome to Annie Gale School. It has been wonderful getting to know the students, staff, parents and community members. I had the pleasure of attending my first Virtues Assembly in which we discussed perseverance and awards were given for academic achievement. This assembly also happened to coincide with Pink Shirt Day, an anti- bullying campaign. Students and staff shared poems, stories and videos about perseverance, respect and kindness.
Although spring is not far away it certainly still looks like winter out there! The days are getting warmer and longer and hopefully the cold days are behind us. Spring Break is right around the corner (March 26 – April 2) and this provides the ideal time to rejuvenate as we begin the last part of the school year. I look forward to meeting everyone at Conferences on April 9th and 20th.
I continue to look forward to working together to give our students the best opportunities in preparing them with a strong foundation for their future. Much of a school’s success can only be achieved with the support of its parents. Whether serving on school council, volunteering on field trips, as guest presenters, concerts or supporting the many programs, parents’ efforts on behalf of the school and its students are highly appreciated. All parents are encouraged to take an active role in their child’s education in any of the many ways that are available to them. Your participation can only make Annie Gale School better!
As principal, my door is always open and I welcome your contribution. Please feel free to stop in or call to make an appointment to provide any suggestions, ideas or feedback that will help make the rest of the school year great. I am confident that open communication and working together to enhance your child’s educational experiences can make Annie Gale School an even better place for our students to learn and grow.
