| Welcome back to the new 2018-2019 school year at Annie Gale School. I hope everyone has had a relaxing and enjoyable summer. Teachers have been in planning, preparing, meeting and setting up their learning spaces for another exciting year!
Parents and guardians can access bell times and calendars through Annie Gale School home page on the CBE website. Students received demographic and various forms required, in the first week of school. Please have them returned to their classroom teachers as soon as possible.
CBE is transitioning to a new student data management platform called Power School. Class lists were created in mid-June to populate this new system. If you access this program through CBE homepage it may display a homeroom and teacher designation from June last school year. These preliminary lists are a continuous work in progress and may be incomplete due to increase enrollment or staffing changes that took place over the summer months. We have been working to ensure all students are assigned to homeroom and complimentary classes. Students, this year, will have the opportunity to participate in 4 different complimentary classes over the year. Students will begin full schedules on Monday morning.
This week teachers had the opportunity to get to know your children better and engaged all students through community building activities. We started the week with the question “Who are we?” Each homeroom class had to create a bulletin board answering this question. Each board was a masterpiece, showcasing the students’ talents, creativity and inspiring thoughts about our community. The boards will be on display until after our first Parent conferences on September 20th and 21st.
We are looking forward to a great year of learning, laughing and achieving in partnership with all of our Annie Gale School communities and parents.
