Student growth and progress is evaluated throughout the school year and reported to parents and students formally through two formal report cards, one semester‐end update, and two student‐led conferences. Teachers also communicate with parents/guardians as needed during the school year. Parents/guardians are encouraged to contact teaching staff or administration if concerns/issues arise regarding the progress of their child.
School-Based Mark Appeals
A student and parent may appeal a school‐based mark by directly discussing their concern with the teacher. Should a resolution not occur following these discussions, the student and parent may then address their concerns in writing to the principal. The decision of the principal regarding school‐based marks is deemed to be the final decision of the Calgary Board of Education(CBE Administrative Regulation 3018 -- Student Placement & Promotion).
