Lunchtime

Braeside School has a strong lunch program. Students are able to stay for lunch in a supervised setting. Approximately once a month, our School Council puts on a “fun lunch’ for our students. Throughout the year there are multiple options.

Lunch Supervision Line: 403-777-8470 ext. 0

If your child is registered for Lunch Supervision and will be away during the noon hour, please advise us by leaving a voicemail.

Lunch Supervision

The Calgary Board of Education provides students with the option to stay at school for lunch. Lunch Supervision is offered to all students in Grades 1- 6 and in our full-day kindergarten programs for an annual fee. Please see Lunch Supervision for more information

In Our Lunchroom

Due to safety reasons stated by Alberta Health we will no longer be able to supply hot water in our lunchrooms.

There is also no access to a microwave and no cutlery available in our lunchrooms so please ensure your child comes to school with any utensils they may need.

Fun Lunches

Braeside School Council is once again partnering with Healthy Hunger for our monthly lunches! Healthy Hunger is an online system that links directly with restaurants to provide convenient lunch options for families.  This offers you:

  • Convenience!  No more paper orders or worrying about exact change
  • Online payment!  Pay with Visa, MasterCard, or Interact online
  • Security!  Their site is PCI compliant with high security standards
  • Ease of ordering!  Create, view, and edit all upcoming orders up to 5 days before delivery.

Go to www.healthyhunger.ca and click ‘Learn More’ under Parents for more info and ‘Register Student’ to get started!

Any questions, please contact Amber at braesidelunches@gmail.com.

Lunchroom Attendance & Expectations

As the noon period is a part of the school day, the same behaviour is expected of the children in the lunchroom as in their classroom.

RT @UsihChristopher: Student health is more important than perfect attendance and families are the ultimate decision makers when it comes to whether students attend school or not. If your child will not be attending, please notify the school and the absence will be excused. Thank you!

RT @yyCBEdu: We continue to take direction from @GoAHealth and at this time they have recommended schools remain open. We have updated the FAQs on our websites for parents and staff. https://t.co/irJxWQ3Gyu
