CBE has created a webpage that offers a variety of educational ideas to support literacy, numeracy, and wellness at home. The resources are meant as suggestion only. You may choose to use the links and activities as needed.

Brentwood School has tried to put together a few additional online resources that you might find useful in supporting your child's learning. Please also consider using this information to support your child's learning at home.

There are various versions of a daily schedule available. Work with your child(ren) to create blocks of time that they are engaging in meaningful activities, that considers downtime, and includes their passions! This will contribute to a sense of predictability, ownership and stability.

Screen Time:

It is important to have conversations now about screen time and set limits with your child(ren).

Calgary Public Library:

Students and families can sign-up for a FREE card online calgarylibrary.ca/card/ if they do not already have one.

Current CBE students have access to eResources such as Tumblebooks, World Book Online, novels, language learning resources, BookFlix and Brainfuse.

The process for students is:

  1. Go to https://calgarylibrary.ca/read-learn-and-explore/digital-library/
  2. Click on eReources and navigate to the resource you want to use.
  3. Where it asks for Library Card, log in with the first part of your CBE Gmail address (the part before @educbe.ca). For example johns1
  4. Students use a simplified PIN, which is 1234567


Learn Alberta:

LearnAlberta is a valuable source of learning resources and information for students provided by Alberta Education and we encourage students and parents to access these resources on a regular basis.
