Transitions and Thankfulness

Dear Parents/Guardians,

My transition from being assistant principal to becoming principal has been smooth. I am beyond grateful for Sr. Martin's phenomenal support of myself and the school during the transition.  Starting on Monday, November 23, Sr. Martin will take over Sra. Gutiérrez' grade 4/5 class and Sra. Gutiérrez will begin her responsibilities as Acting Assistant Principal.

I am very thankful for the support of each one of you. I could not have done this without your positive thoughts, feedback and valuable support. I know our teachers are grateful for our amazing parent community and School Council.

Student Learning Conferences have been a time to celebrate our students' accomplishments in their learning. During Student Learning Conferences you had the opportunity to learn about your child's progress and achievement in relation to the outcomes of Programs of Study. I hope that going through your child's Google Classroom and IRIS informed your conversation with your child's teacher.

A big thank you to our wonderful School Council for providing a lunch for our teachers during conference time. Their thoughtfulness truly made our day so much brighter!

I hope you have enjoyed our very first virtual book fair with Usborne Books and were able to successfully place your child's order.

I encourage you to join our November Virtual School Council Meeting this coming Monday, November 23 at 6:30 pm. See below for the link to join the meting.

COVID-19 Reminders

As a friendly reminder, the school playground remains closed before and after school.  Please remember the compound area is for students and the grass area is for parents. As always, we thank you in advance for your continual support.

Kind regards,

Sra. Perera Pérez
