May: A Month of Celebrations

May has been a month full of celebrations! We were happy to see so many parents attend the Visual Arts and Storytelling Celebration on May 19. Students created a unique piece of art with the guidance and support of visual artist, Ewa Sntiatycka and their teacher. Teachers and students learned and practiced new art techniques.  They researched, gathered and organized ideas to create or re-tell land-based stories. We are proud of the collaborative work that resulted in a magnificent bilingual learning experience for our students while honouring our Commitment to Truth and Reconciliation. Thanks to the School Council for the continued support that allows us to provide such artist-in-residence experiences for our students.

Thanks to our volunteers who joined us on May 27 for the Volunteer Appreciation Parade! With you, our volunteers, our school is full of laughter and magic. Everything you do to help makes a difference.

June is almost here! Please continue to read our weekly Sunday emails with updates and to visit our school website to stay informed about our school year processes and 2022-2023 planning.

Saludos cordiales,

Sra. Perera Pérez and Sra. Gutiérrez
