Dear Parents/Guardians, Remembrance Day AssemblyOn November 10 our students and teachers engaged in a moving Remembrance Day Assembly. Our Grade 4 students proudly lead the event by sharing their reflections, poetry, a shadow performance and singing. Every class created a wreath that was presented by students. This assembly provided another opportunity to reflect and appreciate those who lost their lives for us to have the peace we enjoy nowadays.Student Learning Conferences – Nov. 24 and 25November Parent Teacher Student Conferences provided the opportunity to learn more about your child's progress in learning. To support ongoing communication about your child's academic development, teachers record summative assessment information in PowerSchool.MyCBE is used to access attendance, assignments and assessment information via a web browser. Our students are spending many hours preparing for their concerts and Holiday Tour. Attendance at the kindergarten daytime concerts and grade one to four evening performances is highly encouraged. Our school's focus this year is on Kindness and Actions of the Heart. Filling someone's bucket and showing courtesy and care is a big part of what we do here at ECM. You will notice our songs have a focus on gratitude, compassion and empathy with a festive touch. The students have been the inspiration for these pieces and they are very excited to share them with you. The students have been learning choral etiquette and techniques to further enhance their projection, enunciation and expression. Please enjoy the beautiful repertoire they have prepared for you. Our grade 5 students will participate in a Holiday Tour. They will perform at Robert Warren school and at The Manor Village, a retirement Home near Fish Creek Park. Our grade 5 students will 'fill the seniors' bucket' with their kindness. We appreciate your continued enthusiasm and support of our Music Program here at Escuela Canyon Meadows and we look forward to seeing you during the concerts and dress rehearsals. Saludos cordiales,Sra. Perera Pérez, Principal Sra. Gutiérrez, Assistant Principal Srta. Cotton, Music Specialist
RT @ZooSchoolyyc: How do we teach the value and importance of our connection to all living things? Maybe by getting to know our local neighbours? This is a concept our Chris Akkermann students are just beginning to understand. Have you spotted this local winter bird? https://t.co/W2MjY26FrR
@CBELanguages #WeAreCBE https://t.co/F6vE6jP5td
RT @KeelerSchool: Grade 6 students created pictograph rocks using symbols and colours to communicate their connections to the land. #WeAreCBE #Keeler https://t.co/z18gyFvOZS
