Dear CJP Families,
I’m happy to share it’s been a hugely successful beginning to our 2022-23 school year. The students have already settled into a comfortable routine and wherever I go around the school I’m met with excited greetings and smiling faces. There was a minor hiccup with Bus D in the first couple of days, but it seems that has been worked out. The buzz now is all about when that new playground will be ready to go… more on that below in the school council section.
Online Forms to CompleteThe CBE sent a School Messenger email to all CBE families to let them know about most of the yearly start of the year forms moving to an online format through your
MyCBE account. These include the Demographic Verification form that helps ensure we are able to contact you in the case of an emergency, and the annual authorization forms that pertain to photos of students around the school. If you haven’t already, please take a moment to complete these forms in the coming days to ensure we have this important information.
If you require any assistance with making your
MyCBE account, please visit this website

Bussing RemindersJust a reminder to parents that are registered to ride the bus that it is highly recommended they make use of the
http://www.mybusstop.ca/ website and/or mobile app. This is a GPS tracking service, which delivers real-time information on a subscriber’s bus location, route stops, route traffic, route schedule, route progress, and possible route delays. The code for the school can be found in your
MyCBE account beside the bus/bus stop information.
One more bussing note for registered riders… if you know your student is not going to be riding the bus for any reason, can you please call the school at (403) 777-6170 and select option 2 to leave us a
message. Please do your best to leave the
message before 3:15 PM on Monday-Thursday and before 12:45 PM on Friday. This helps us to more efficiently and more accurately determine which students should and should not be on the bus each day. Your support with this is greatly appreciated.
From CJP School CouncilThe playground project is well underway! The volunteer build will run September 13th-17th. We would like to thank everyone who signed up to volunteer or to bring snacks for the volunteers. We are still looking for a few more volunteers Saturday the 17th. If you would like to volunteer or can drop off some snacks please sign up here:
https://signup.com/go/udtTSMAAs well, we would like to thank all CJP families for giving the construction crews lots of space to work. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN ALLEY. We would ask that during the build everyone avoid the alleyway as much as possible. Monday the 12th and Tuesday the 13th we will have large semi-trailers backing up through the alley to deliver equipment. Alternate parking is available next to the Brentwood Sportsplex.
We appreciate your support and cannot wait to play on the new playground with you all. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to us at
cjp.playground@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Oliver Fisher, Principal
