Spring is in the air and
Catherine Nichols Gunn School continues to be an exciting place to work and
learn. May promises to be a month full of many great learning opportunities and
experiences. Please see our More News
and Dates to Remember on our school
website for things that are happening. Please let the office know if there is a
change in your email address as we also email weekly reminders. Please note the
Spring Concert for Gr. K-2 students on May 9th.
Thank you to School Council for
their ongoing support. School Council directly supports most field trips at our
school which is why no fees are asked for to pay for these trips. There are
many trips this month and School Council has made most of them possible.
Parent’s time to support School Council and their fundraising efforts impacts
all students and our ability as a school to provide these learning
opportunities. Please know you are all welcome and invited to attend and support
all our students. The next school council meeting is May 30th at 7pm
and nominations for the executive for next year will take place.
We look forward to our last
formal face to face student-led conferences in May where you can learn about
your child’s experiences at school. This is an excellent way to show your child
how important their learning is. Please plan to attend on May 16th
or 17th. You may also contact your child’s teacher at any time if
you have other questions. Our last report card will come home on June 27th
which is the last day of school and an 12:06pm dismissal.
